Well, 2024 wasn’t too bad, not much can be said about the weather, Summer which week was that? closest I got to the sun was the light bulb in my shed. We all have many happy memories along with I’m sure some sadness along the way, the loss of dear ones and your first Christmas without them, but life goes on. I hope you will get a visit from loved ones, family and friends.
If you know anybody who is alone, perhaps not very well, or getting on a bit (like me) try and give them a call I’m sure it would cheer them up, or even if it’s not too far try and pay a visit, it would do the heart good and bring some happiness to them and you, we have to do something to bring a smile now that we don’t have the Morecambe and Wise Christmas shows anymore.
Linda and myself used to go to my Mums on Christmas morning and have the usual rather large Xmas meal, exchange presents then it was off to her Mums in time to watch the Queens speech before having yet another big meal! Let that settle down and have a few games with the Niece and Nephew, at all times keeping an eye on the clock to be sure to leave on time to get home for yes, you’ve guessed it Morecambe and Wise. They’ve gone now along with our parents but as a wise Lecturer once told me in the Sun Studios in Memphis “nothing stays the same, everything changes” this became the motto in my Intelligence Unit (at GMP)
The pictures are from our Traditional Mark Christmas Party which I’m sad to say no longer takes place, we are still known as “The Three Santas”, can you guess which one I am? then it was Flanagan and Alan myself and the brother in law before Banjo Bill took centre stage, up next Laurel and Hardy, Great times, Great memories.
You all can remember good times past, hang on to them, call a friend or a family member, a brother Mark Mason or Royal Ark Mariner I’ll be seeing you soon at perhaps the next Team Visit camera in hand ready to take pictures as usual, including the off guard moments, so beware and keep smiling. |

Very Best Wishes to our wonderful Web Master W.Bro. Mike Beesley and his family for all the work he does on behalf of us all.
